AP courses are university-level courses offered in high school. Courses reflect what is taught in top introductory university courses. All AP courses are created by the American College Board with the goal of connecting students to university success and opportunity.
The benefits of AP:
Clifford International and Manitoba program students have a variety of AP courses to choose from. The courses offered vary from year to year, but include the following:
Students who take AP courses will earn Manitoba credit. They have the option to take the AP exam in May.
In 2020, our IP and Manitoba program students got significantly better AP scores than the world average in the subjects they studied. Only the best qualified students get scores of 4 or 5 on AP exams. The yellow bars show the percentages of Clifford Manitoba and IP program students who got 4’s and 5’s on their AP exams. The difference between our student averages and world averages is easily seen across the AP curriculum.
Half of the students who wrote AP exams at our school in 2020 had outside teachers or studied on their own, and the other half took courses from the IP teachers. Students who were taught by our teachers got more 4s and 5s than students who were not.
